Other Ministries

Besides weekly opportunities for Bible Study and Worship, Central Bible Church also offers ministry opportunities to assist in meeting the immediate needs of many in our community and from surrounding areas:
The King's Kitchen

In November of 2012, Pastor Mike received encouragement and direction from the Lord to make use of our church's commercial kitchen and his credentials as a trained chef to organize and put into operation Hancock County's only full-time soup kitchen to feed the hungry, indigent, and others in need in our area. Serving an average of 600-700 plates per week, The King's Kitchen staff (all volunteers) prepare and serve hot meals from 11:30 AM until 1:00 PM.  Menus include red beans and rice, ham, baked chicken, spaghetti, a variety of vegetables and other side dishes, as well as green salads almost daily and desserts. The King's Kitchen is a 501(c)3 designated nonprofit entity that operates only by the generosity of businesses and individuals who donate food items and who provide the means to pay operating expenses such as the power bill and the gas bill. We believe we are following the Lord's command in Matthew 25:35.

The Clothesline

In July of 2013, Central Bible
Church opened the doors to its new clothing ministry, The Clothesline, which offers free clothing, shoes, accessories, and other apparel items as well as bedding, blankets, and even diapers, to the needy in our community. Staffed by volunteers, The Clothesline ministers to the clothing needs of an average of 45-50 people each week. The hours of operation for The Clothesline are Monday-Saturday 11:30 AM until 1:00 PM.
